Where Can I Sell My Pearls

Celebrate the way'': the east Carnaval 2011 launch!

Celebrating Life'': Carnival 2011 is launched!

Carnaval Haiti In a context marked by an explosive socio-political atmosphere that the Mayor of Port-au-Prince, Yves Jason, officially launched the Carnival 2011 on the theme ' 'Celebrate Life.'' Since early this year, huge doubts hanging over the organization of the carnival but decried by some eagerly awaited by others. Since
already 3 consecutive Sundays, the bands on foot, true spearheads of the Haitian Carnival, have invested major streets of Port-au-Prince to create an atmosphere of almost hysterical crowd. As for DJs (Disk Jockey) mounted on tanks with sound, the atmosphere created at the Champ de Mars is gaining momentum every Sunday despite the macabre scene of hideous tent cities and the surrounding stench.
For now, the government seems to ignore the incessant calls Mary to unlock the funds available to the organization de cette festivité populaire mise en quarantaine l’année dernière par le cataclysme du 12 janvier.
Furthermore, contrary to the habits in pre-carnival, carnival songs not rule the playlist of radio stations on FM and the programming of TV channels. While the main bridgehead bands already animate walk tirelessly tarmac, doubt remains as to the participation of big guns of Konpa Direct, the Haitian Rap and Racine, including Djakout # 1, T-Vice, Mizik Mizik Ram, Boukman, Carimi, Kreyol La, Barikad Crew, etc. Rockfam.
Note that even when Rolls Laine (Roro), drummer # 1 of Djakout defends tooth and nail in the media organization of the carnival this year arguing that musicians can not be the only ones to bear the brunt of human impact on 12 January when all the other professional classes of the country are given to work to meet their monthly bills. As for the group Sweet Micky, real clout on the course of three days gras, its mastermind, Joseph Michel Martelly, currently focusing its energies for another hike that will lead perhaps to a different place in the Champ de Mars one morning in May 2011.
We recall that earlier this year when the question of organizing the Carnival began to agitate loudly in the media, Al-Jessy Khaalis, Manager of T-Vice, said emphatically that out of respect for the victims of January 12, there is no question T-Vice to join the party. However, some rumors suggest a possible involvement of Martino Brothers and Co. in Carnival in Jacmel and even in Port-au-Prince. If this is the case, she was only referring to the victims of Port-au-Prince?

In defense of the rights of Haitian women

In Defense the rights of Haitian women

The complexity of the situation from a perspective Haitian Women: Interview with Gaelle M. Celestin.
posted by Pier Francesco Mastantuono of NOIDONNE ( http://www.noidonne.org/blog.php?ID=01580 )

Thanks to the collaboration of Italo Fund and the School of Peace in Rome in early February, were hosted in Italy Gaelle M. Celestin and Evel Fanfan, two brave Haitians come here to inform on the human rights situation in Haiti, because they are not forgotten.
Gaelle M. Celestin is the president of GFANM AYISYEN YO while Evel Fanfan is the president of AUHMOD.
Both associations are also intended to ensure free access to justice, not to become so distant as to be unknown and inaccessible to be a failure there.
Among the projects currently carried out is Haiti Emergency, a project that took shape on the initiative of the School of Peace in Rome http://www.haitiemergency.org then establishing a partnership with AUHMOD.

Gaelle M. Celestin carefully articulates the words, specifies in detail the substance with the intent to arrive in a clear and unequivocal voice of Haitian women in the expectation of future construction of new bridges to the women, who are able to break down borders.

GFANM AYISYEN YO, what is the role and activity of his organization?

First let me thank you for this interview.
are Gaelle M. Celestin, the president of this association that works in particular and women engaged in domestic work in other households, are often young women, who have between 25 and 30 years, and are a particularly vulnerable group. One of our goals is to promote the value of Haitian women, their rights and their dignity. To this end we organize meetings, educational meetings for women to acquire more and better understanding and knowledge of their rights, sometimes they themselves do not have.
And then try to help women who work legally in the house when they are victims of violence, particularly sexual, by their own employers work.

Violence against women has increased after the earthquake of January 12, 2010, what are the reasons?

Because after the earthquake have increased women living in camps, in tents, where there is no security, and women are victims of all types of injustice and violence.
One way to combat this violence is the drafting of the dossier, often inferred from their experiences in the fields, files containing information about violence suffered and living conditions in tents. With this type of documentation can be able to submit the relevant courts to seek justice at last. What

change calls for Haitian women?
is important to understand that if women's rights are not respected, then it means that there is no justice and, therefore, no real political stability.
To realize this awareness there are various voluntary associations of Haitian women who are fighting for the same objective.

What do you think of the nomination and potential election MIRLAND Manigat to the presidency? What could change?

The nomination must be exactly in the direction desired by the equality of gender, equality, for if a man can be president for a woman should apply the same reasoning.
I think that is a diplomatic MIRLAND Manigat capable, equipped with the skills to do something for Haiti and its women, for their rights, against violence and against social injustice. With her, I think you can really change.

What can be done then Italian women for Haiti?
My goal would be to create a sort of partnership, through various media, a network of relations between the Italian and Haitian women, to know the realities, issues and people.

thousand children in prison in Haiti Haiti is in Rome

Left alone after the earthquake, are imprisoned with adults

OF LUCIA Capuzzo
The Future
Sunday, February 13, 2011

Suze, Auguste, Joseph.

I “piccoli prisoners in Haiti are the forgotten victims of the earthquake. Only a few NGOs that work with them, the authorities are unaware of them. By law, minors can not be imprisoned together with common prisoners: they must be brought to correctional institutions for this purpose. The latter, however, were destroyed. The agents, therefore, do not know what else to do with too many guys around the city disbanded. When in doubt, take them in adult prisons. Where to stay long. In the capital, the only two buildings left standing - albeit damaged - they are the penitentiary and the National Civil Petionville. Part of it was swept away by the shock. Now, the good and well arranged, the jail is operational. And crowded: there are 4 thousand prisoners - the capacity and the staff are for 800 -, divided into six dormitories.

At least 200 are minors. In total, "a thousand kids is imprisoned in the eleven prisons departments of many Haitians," the complaint to the Future lawyer Evel Fanfan, President of Action pour une des Unités Motivées Haiti de Droit (Aumohd). The association defends indigent prisoners free of charge, since the country there is no legal aid office. "Just to agree to hear a case, an expert on private calls at least $ 60. To advance the dossier, there want much, "said Fanfan. Three-quarters of Haitians who earn 60 per month. It was precisely the Aumohd to blow up the scandal of child prisoners: in September, during a visit to the National Penitentiary, Fanfan had noticed the presence of 54 boys who had asked for help. The lawyer has managed to bring 25 of them in a nursing home, and to leave the other 29. Too many are still in jail. The phenomenon also existed before the earthquake. Afterwards, however, has become chronic. Why have risen little vagabonds. The police often stop them even when they do not commit any crime, other than to "begging". Not surprisingly, most of the children is behind bars in attesa di giudizio.

Nessuno, però, sa quante siano i detenuti colpiti. «Non ci sono registri affidabili. Spesso, i poliziotti non scrivono nelle liste ufficiali i nomi degli arrestati. Perché sono minori o perché is not that they are comfortable, "adds Fanfan. Deaths in prison, moreover, are not communicated to family members. "I kin have to visit once, twice, ten times. The meeting is specifically denied - underlines -. Thus, the claim that their relative is dead. "

Pretty Prom Dresses Between $50-$100

Haiti
Many Italians have known only after the earthquake of January 12, 2010. With catastrophic event
Haiti was plunged suddenly into a hell on earth, but even before it was on the threshold.
For those unfamiliar with Haiti, late on the scene, or we could say the total lack of relief in the early days may have seemed absurd.
In addition, a few days in the interest of the Italian media has been closed on this vision of the abyss, but they came back strongly to the fore after the cholera epidemic broke out in October 2010, nine months after the earthquake.
There is something that has not been told yet about Haiti, and the reality of a people always forced to a continuous depletion, denied the minimum of democratic representation, repressed all forms of rebellion against this slavery, just what same people who first among the world's oppressed peoples, in 1804, he became free from the France of Napoleon.
The opportunity to open a real window on this reality comes to us in these days of the tour they are doing in Italy Evel Fanfan (president of AUMOHD - Action des Unités Motivées puor une Haiti de Droit) and Gaelle Celestin ( president of the women "GFANM AYISYEN YO - The eyes of women").
The trip to Italy was supported by several associations and reality ( Squirrel Onlus Without Borders non-profit organization, SOS Children, Selvas.Org, The School of Peace ). To which we have joined with their work, reporters and freedom of information, as Martin Iglesias, Alma Giraudo and Fabrizio Lorusso .
Friday, February 11, 2011, to h. 17.30, at "Photography Workshops" in a way Libetta in Rome, in collaboration with the Loop Magazine, the School of Peace in Rome will provide an opportunity for journalists, media, communicators and other interested readers, to really know Haiti, without the filters of media censorship.

$ 2 million for the Carnival in Haiti HAITI MEETS LONDON

In 2010 the Carnival was not taken in Haiti to respect the hundreds of thousands of earthquake victims.
This year the carnival will be held but there is a strong ongoing discussion on whether or not to do so.
has gone as far to ventilate the risk that the large concentrations of people during the parade, may be a risk for the spread of cholera.
But Haitians are progressing, and in the cities of Jacmel, Port-au-Prince, Cayes, Cap-Haitien ed altre fervono i preparativi .

HAITI : Civil Society invisible

A dodici mesi dal tragico terremoto e le 300mila vittime, le condizioni di emergenza permangono e gli aiuti si sono proved inadequate and unsuitable for effective reconstruction (over 1 million people still live in tents and makeshift are the more than 4,000 died of cholera).
There is a need by the population of normality and not only in healthcare, manufacturing, educational, but also in the sense of self-starter. The permanence of the nature of these emergency-aid unfortunately creates a real obstacle to reconstruction policies, keeping the population in condition need ongoing assistance and desperate. In addition to influence and determine the permanent inability a coltivare la partecipazione civile e l’inclusione sociale alla ricostruzione.
Un importante e raro incontro with representatives of associations Haitian, giving voice to civil society invisible.

How To Become Deception Expert

TO A YEAR AFTER QUAKE: MY SCHOOL FOR HAITI

Today is one year from the January 12 earthquake in Haiti

What has been done this year by the international community and many NGOs present in Haiti? The answer is to let a letter from a girl in Haiti (see post below) where, in the final part, explains what the real situation on the island: "... street children, children orphaned, the child victims of the earthquake of January 12, which are still, after a year under tents in conditions catastrophic, many of which have nothing to eat, and many of which exposed the cholera epidemic ... "

for the start of the second year of the emergency in Haiti is our wish that you unblock the aid given by donor countries (so far been given only 10% of what has already been collected), which actually start the reconstruction work and are put in place real measures to prevent the cholera epidemic which, as said in the days also recent MSF (Doctors Without Borders), is causing thousands of deaths could be prevented.

A year ago we also started our project, "A school for children of Joy in Haiti "which is not part of the mechanisms of official aid, with an initiative that met the basic many obstacles, and relied on small aid sent by the Italian school children, and a great spirit of sacrifice, mainly by the President of the "School of Peace", Italo Cassa, who has traveled to Haiti in April 2010.
Since that first mission were born of the relationship and have developed projects in the logic of "help" but also create a independently of Haitians, according to exit impoverished condition in which Haiti has been taken from the world.

were carried out initiatives to help school for children, education programs on prevention of cholera, and recreational activities and support of the "heart" for children affected by the first earthquake, and now by cholera.

In recent days, was carried out in Port-au-Prince Day "en Timoun Zoom" which means "Children at the Center," where the identity of children, their right to play and a wonderful life was put CENTRE.

Party now, and up to Mardi Gras, which this year will be March 8, the "Little Harmonic Carnival" this year dedicated to the children of Haiti and their carnival.

Also if this job position, very often, can not be strength to take advantage of special public facilities and / or bank and, logically, it follows very difficult if not impossible procure the appropriation of a loan.

Only with special safeguards, you can secure a loan without a paycheck.

One of these guarantees that very often a bank asks you to assign a loan, without having a paycheck, is the question of ownership of a property owned.

Another assurance that your bank may procure is to ask a friend or your relative who has a parent entry to be able to do a cover if you are not able to, obvious reasons, to pay the loan installments.

loans without payroll are really egregious an alternative to traditional personal loans, but unlike the latter 's, where there is constraint to make a paycheck, the paycheck-free loans as the word itself does not require a paycheck, but should be granted only in defined circumstances and under defined conditions.
